Mr. Adcox is a seasoned financial executive with thirty years of M&A experience. He started his career as a bank auditor for the largest bank holding company in Florida, and became an auditor and account manager for Walter E. Heller in New Orleans specializing in leveraged buyouts and financing for emerging companies. He was the youngest officer at 25 years of age for this $4 billion finance company. Mr. Adcox later joined the Medart Companies in 1981 as Chief Financial Officer and Asst to the Chairman where he led the purchase and managed the financial turnaround strategy of a group of companies exceeding $90 million in annual revenues with eight manufacturing facilities and 1,100 employees. The companies were then sold to various public companies in 1988. He then directed the acquisition of three daily newspapers and five magazines in Southern California, becoming a shareholder and Executive Vice President of the operation. Mr. Adcox returned to Pensacola in 1991 where he now owns and operates a successful luxury car dealership. He holds licenses in mortgage brokering, real estate, and is a Certified Collector Car Appraiser. He graduated from the University of West Florida with degrees in Accounting and Finance, and received the very first Distinguished Business Alumnus Award by the same university. His extensive charitable service includes President of the Ronald McDonald House, Chairman of the Cattle Barons Ball for the American Cancer Society, Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Board Member, Chairman of the Development Board Sacred Heart Foundation,Vice Chair of Escambia county Value adjustment, and numerous other civic organizations. He has served as an expert witness and consultant in numerous bankruptcy cases throughout the United States.Mr Adcox currently serves as a past chairman of Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, which is one of the largest and most successful in the United States. Mr Adcox also served on the board of the public TV station, WSRE. He is a member of Five Flags Rotary, and continues to serve on the Escambia County Florida Value Adjustment Board as Vice Chairman. In 2015, Mr Adcox received the prestigious Order of Cornette award for dedication to Sacred Heart Health system in Pensacola, given on the 100th anniv of the Hospital. In 1984, Mr Adcox became involved in Indy Car Racing. He sponsored and co owned cars in 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1992 and 1993, drivers included Dick Simon, Derek Daly, Johnny Parsons, Jeff Andretti, Stan Fox and Jim Crawford. Mr Adcox graduated from the renowned Jim Russell British school of Racing and campaigned a super Vee, the support series for Indy Cars in the late 1980's. He plays in the local Rock Band, Mass Kunfuzion, playing great venues as Bands on the Beach and evenings in the park and Mall Ball. CARS ARE HIS PASSION, and he has owned collector cars since the 1980s and set three world records , he continues to appraise and own a select group of vintage Imports, for which he drives and lovingly restores. Mr Adcox, in 2019 was a finalist for the Ethics in Business award and was recently recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest award recognized by Rotary International. IN 2020, HE WON THE ETHICS AWARD, ONLY BECOMING THE 30th WINNER EVER. ,Current charitable endeavors includes immediate past President of the Pensacola Humane Society, which is a non government sponsored 501 c3 organization for over 80 years in NW Florida. He currently serves as a director of the three billion Credit union, Pen Air, serves on the foundation board of the University of west Florida and a director of Pensacola State college alumni board.
